Summer cycling overnighter roundup

As the year is coming to an end, I wanted to do a late closure with photos on this summers cycling trips. After the northern tour I previously blogged about, I also did some shorter overnighters – with friends and solo.

Koskeljärvi overnighter

A nice camping overnighter to a quiet lake mostly inhabited by birds, in Southwestern Finland. Done with my friend H. We took a gravel route that took us past the Kurjenrahka national park and slept in a tent at Koskeljärvi, a beautiful protected lake with no cabins or motor boats allowed.

Jyväskylä – Helsinki

This mini-tour with my friend J completed my 2015-2016 Norwegian Sea – Baltic Sea cycling journey which took me two longer tours in addition to this weekender. We slept in a small town hotel in Sysmä and rode through very nice scenery by Lake Päijänne.

Maarian allas overnighter

A relaxed solo weekend trip just some 30km from my home. Maarian allas is a reservoir with some popular MTB and walking trails around it. A nice countryside location for a quick overnighter.
